Kevin Ronald Davis

I recently had an opportunity to speak with the handsome Kevin Ronald Davis, a brawny fitness enthusiast enjoying his second act.

By: Joshua Conner

Kevin Ronald Davis is an ex-United States Air Force Fire Protection Firefighter, cover model, works at Crunch Fitness, a gym/fitness enthusiast and in recovery loving life, based in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. I am inspired by Davis because of his service, how he used his struggles of overcoming addiction to help people, his dedication to fitness, physique and how he has reinvented himself.

What is Davis’s mission in the world?

“I recently started recovery, I’m seventeen months clean today, so it’s like my life has sort of started over. My mission now is to be my best self and hopefully, I can inspire others. I want to show people that not only is it possible to change and recover, but you can do it at any age. I started my recovery journey at forty-nine and I am fifty now. My life has sort of turned around for the better. I’ve got a lot of great things happening for me even at the age of 50,” said Davis.

What is Davis’s life philosophy?

“I guess my life philosophy would be, having a positive attitude, is probably the biggest step in doing anything that you want to do. I had to change my attitude in the way that I thought about things. My addiction made me think very negative about myself, and about what was possible for me.
Once I started, changing my attitude and seeing progress, I started thinking differently. I started thinking that I can do this or this is possible. My attitude changed, then more good things started happening. Now my attitude is just like, I can do this if I want to do something. Then, when something good happens to me, it’s just like yeah, instead of, wow, I can’t believe that it’s happening. Now, I just expect good things to happen. I would just say, just having the right mental and positive attitude is probably the best philosophy to have,” said Davis.

If Davis could go on a road trip with any celebrity who would it be and where would they travel to?

“I would probably take a road trip with Ellen DeGeneres, and I wouldn’t care where we went, because she would keep me laughing the whole time,” said Davis.

What are Davis’s underwear preferences?

“I like briefs, and I normally wear Calvin Klein,” said Davis.

Davis has two memorable years, the first was when he joined the Air Force and the second was his recovery year.

“I would say, I have two. The first was the year that I joined the Air Force. I would say the second would be this year, not only have I started fresh and new, but after so many years of my addiction, I was just cloudy. Now, it’s like I have my eyes open again.
This past year has been remarkable, it’s the first time, I started living again, in a long time. I’ve learned so much about myself through all my bad experiences. I think sometimes, you can’t learn things, through good experiences. Sometimes, it takes bad experiences to learn the most about yourself. I learned the most about myself during the past few years before I started recovery. I would not take back those experiences for anything. I think hitting rock bottom was the very best thing that ever happened to me,” said Davis.

Davis became fascinated with the compass during rehab.

“When I was getting rehab, I saw that tattoo. I had not gotten a tattoo in many years. I knew that I wanted one, I had seen a picture of a compass, and I liked the idea of it. It sort of represents moving in the right direction. When I started thinking about that, I was like, that’s going to be my next tattoo,” said Davis.

What does Davis enjoy most about working at Crunch Fitness?

“When I was in rehab, I had just started working out again, and it had been years. That was something that I believe helped me through most of my recovery. Getting back to the gym, helped me to feel better about myself. I could see the positive changes, and it helped me to clear my head. I started to feel better about myself physically, mentally and get my self-esteem back. I was in the gym a lot at Crunch Fitness before I started working there.
To me, it was a place where I started feeling good about myself again. I kind of wanted to work in that environment, I got to help people, and I also just felt like it was a good fit for me. I enjoyed being in that environment,” said Davis.

Hugh Jackman is who Davis would pick to play him in a movie, but what would be the title of his life story?

“I would say, my story could be called Never too late,” said Davis.

In my extra content, I asked Kevin Davis if he could have a conversation with anyone who would it be and why? Follow me on Facebook and Instagram @mrjoshsidney to find out.

Flavio Gama

I recently had an opportunity to speak with a hunky fitness professional Flavio Gama.

By: Joshua Conner

Flavio Gama is an NSCA-CPT, NASM-Fitness Nutrition Specialist, USAW-Sports Performance Coach, and Crossfit/Kettlebell Concepts and TRX Certified based in Chicago, Illinois and from Brasilia, Brasil. I am inspired by Gama personally and professionally. Personally, I am inspired by Gama’s passion for the sea and his incredible physique. Professionally, I am inspired by his accreditations in the fitness industry.

What is a day in the life of Gama like?

“I usually wake up around 4:30 or 5 am, and then I go to the gym and personally train clients. Then, whenever I have a break in the morning, I would do my own workouts or swim. Then, my wife goes to work, and I watch our baby for the rest of the day. If it’s summer, I take her to go sailing and off to the beach. During winter, we just do stuff indoors. Then, I food prep for most of the day in the afternoon. Then, I put the baby to sleep around 6 or 7, then I go to sleep myself,” said Gama on a typical day.

What would be the title of Gama’s life story and who would play him in a movie?

“The title would be ocean lover and I would say Brad Pitt,” said Gama.

If Gama could leave his daughter with one quality what would it be?

“I would like her to have hard work ethics. You have to work hard to get what you want in life. If you have perseverance and work hard, you can eventually accomplish your goals. I think with that, she will be whatever, she wants to become,” said Gama.

What are Gama’s underwear preferences?

“Briefs, Diesel,” said Gama.

Which boat most matches Gama’s personality?

“I would say the captain lima 400,” said Gama.

What was Gama’s most memorable year?

“My most memorable year, I think it’s probably 1997. That’s when I did my first season at Club Med in Brazil, on a beautiful island. It changed my perspective of life and I meet a bunch of amazing people, whom I am still friends with to this day. It put my life in a whole new perspective. I had a bunch of memorable years, but I would say probably 1997,” said Gama.

What’s the story behind Gama’s first tattoo?

“My first tattoo, I was only 16 years old. Since I was a little boy, I always loved tattoos. I lived in a very conservative and traditional family. I kept telling my dad when I grow up, I am going to get a tattoo. When I was 16 years old, I went to the shop, a friend took me. I did a dragon on the inside of my arm, which represents a song from the 80s, from Brasil, about a guy that I really admired. So the guy talks about the dragon tattoo. I did a dragon on the inside of my arm, hoping my dad would never see, but he saw right away. He was mad, but years later, a lot of people have tattoos, so it’s no big deal. I did it to show to chase and follow your dreams,” said Gama.

Erik DeLaRosa

I recently had an opportunity to speak with Erik Delarosa, Texas’s own hunky & hard-working businessman & familyman.

By: Joshua Conner

Erik DeLaRosa, is a: nutrition/fitness expert, entrepreneur/MBA, finance/sales/marketing, online health coach, founder of Patsy G Mustard, and a sponsored athlete with team Gaspari, based in Dallas, Texas. I am inspired by DeLaRosa, personally & professionally. Personally, I am inspired by his incredible physique, style & charming southern accent. Professionally, I am inspired by his work ethic & entrepreneurial spirit.

What is a day in the life of DeLaRosa like?

“I wake up really early, like 4 or 5 am, and I go to the gym for about an hour and a half. Then, I get ready for work and go to work. Then, I have different things going on, that I have to do. I also own a mustard company, so like on my breaks or right after work, I have to make calls, setup demos, and set up my employees so they can work. Then, I have clients,  that text me all day, it’s just nonstop until I go to bed, usually Monday to Friday. Scheduling, working & doing a full-time job too, so just  business, all business all day, I work a lot,” said DeLaRosa.

What is one sentence would DeLaRosa use to describe Patsy G Mustard?

“There’s nothing like it. So it’s a condiment, that has multiple uses, and it’s one of a kind & you can use it on anything,” said DeLaRosa.

DeLaRosa’s most memorable year was the year his daughter was born. If he could leave her one quality it would be to be driven.

“What is one quality that I would like to leave my daughter, just to be driven, and work hard for what you want in life. Don’t expect anything to be handed to you and don’t rely on anyone. Just do things yourself, work hard, do a good job and just follow your dreams,” said DeLaRosa.

What does DeLaRosa prefer boxers or briefs and what is his favorite brand?

“I would have to say, that I wear them all, but I, wear briefs mostly and my favorite brand is Armani,” said DeLaRosa.

“Breaking the cycle and I’m going to play myself,” said DeLaRosa.

What is DeLaRosa favorite quote for inspiration?

Jon Dimetros

I recently had an opportunity to speak with Jon Dimetros, one of Chicago’s first-rate brokers, clever marketer & handsome renaissance man.

By: Joshua Conner

Jon Dimetros is: the co-owner at Dunning Real Estate, Broker at Main Street Real Estate Group, LLC & marketing for Mammoth Distilling, LLC from Chicago, Illinois. Dimetros inspires me professionally & personally. Professionally, Dimetros was named top producer for Main Street Real Estate Group in 2017 & 2018. Personally, I really admire Dimetros style, chic excursions & his appreciation for James Bond. I also enjoy the eclecticism of his Instagram, that is a brilliant highlight reel of his: professional accomplishments, style, Ted hijinks, friendship hangouts & James Bond throwbacks.

What is a day in the life of Dimetros like?

“A day in my life could vary greatly, depending on what I have going on. Most of the time, I’ll get up, get out of bed, check some emails and get on my phone to return calls. Then I’ll go to the office, I’m in Main Street and Lawrence Dunning and I have a group called Dunning Real Estate Group, so we’re often on the phone with each other talking about whatever residential or investment properties we have. Whatever conversation there is with these properties, that we currently have active to talk about.

Then I’ll try to get a workout in, usually sometime in the afternoon. I really like hanging out with friends. I’m one of those guys who likes to go out on weekdays, either to dinner or just go hang with friends whenever I can. If I don’t have an event on a certain night, I’ll probably go grab a bite with a buddy or my girlfriend and just hang out. I would say, that I would think one of my favorite things to do in life, is to go and have a meal with somebody. It could be one person or it could be 20 people, I just think that it’s really great to sit down & break bread with somebody & enjoy a really nice conversation,” said Dimetros.

What was Dimetros most memorable year?

“My most memorable year was probably when I turned 30. I’m 36 now, I remember I was dreading turning 30. You know, you’re conditioned in your 20’s once you get 30, it’s like, my life is over I’m old. I was really scared, I thought it was going to be this transition. I was suddenly going to become some guy, that was over the hill.

I wouldn’t be able to go out any more and it was almost this cut off. You couldn’t do certain things once you hit 30. It ended up being a great year. There is a famous quote, that I really like, “All that I know I learned after I was thirty,” said George Clemenceau, he’s a french politician. I remember reading it right before 30. It really kind of helped me realize that aging can be a good thing.

30 was a good year for me, it was a transition for me. When I realized that I was coming out of  my 20s, I started shedding some of my juvenile tendencies & I was growing into what I considered to be transitioning into a man. In your 20’s your still in kind of an transition period. I think once you hit 30, you feel all grown up. You feel more secure, and you look back and you just gain confidence.

I think continuing to grow more confidence, and knowing who you are as a person, and who you identify with and what you identify with is a very liberating thing,” said Dimetros.

What does Dimetros prefer boxers, briefs or boxer briefs and what is his favorite brand?

“Let’s go for briefs, my favorite brand is Calvin Klein and then for boxer briefs my favorite brand is a Swedish brand called Bjorn Bjorg, there made by a famous tennis player. I found them in Sweden a few years ago. They’re super cool, really colorful & a lot of fun. The boxer briefs are super thin and comfortable.

The nice thing about them, is that there tight, but not uncomfortable & don’t ride up on your legs. So it almost feels like your not wearing anything, but you’re wearing boxer briefs,” said Dimetros.

What would be the title of Dimetros life story & who would play him in a movie?

“I would love for the title of my life story to be American Bond. Let’s see who would, I want to play me, I would say, who’s the dude from Fifty Shades of GreyJamie Dornan. He’s a great actor, and I would like him to play me,” said Dimetros.

Who is Dimetros favorite James Bond actor?

“Favorite James Bond, is without a doubt Daniel Craig. He is true to what Ian Fleming, the author of the James Bond novels, had in mind when he wrote James Bond. James Bond was kind of a rough & tough guy and still had some sex appeal, and you know appealed to men & women equally. I think that a lot of the Bonds, you know Sean Connery, was kind of a really good-looking guy, women loved him, he was suave, but he didn’t have that kind of killer instinct, that I think Craig portrayed.

The rest of the Bond’s like between: Roger Moore, Sean Connery, and Timothy Dalton, there was a lot of humor mixed with those Bonds, and I don’t think the real James Bond was supposed to be a nice guy. James Bond was supposed to be an alcoholic womanizer that did bad things to bad people,” said Dimetros.

Dimetros favorite Bond movie is also Casino Royale starring Daniel Craig.

Dimetros favorite Bond Woman is Ursula Andress.

“She was Honey Ryder in Dr. No, and she starred as Vesper Lynd in the old Casino Royale. She was a Swiss sex symbol. She had a famous coming out of the water, in a swimsuit in Dr. No and I liked her,” said Dimetros.

If Dimetros could have a drink with any three people died or alive, who would they be and what drink would he serve them?

“If I could have a drink with any three people died or alive, that’s a very good question. I would have to say: Daniel Craig, just because, let’s put Winston Churchill and Gandhi. I think it’s a.pretty weird mix, but I would put those guys on there. I would probably serve them an old fashioned made with Mammoth Bourbon,” said Dimetros.

If Dimetros mantra were a hashtag it would be a famous naval motto, #dontgiveuptheship.

“I believe at least for me, it means to never give up, don’t ever stop and even when things look bleak, or when things look like their not going to turn out favorable for you, you always got fight left in you. That little bit of fight can make the difference between succeeding or failing,” said Dimetros.

Trevor Michael Opalewski

I recently had an opportunity to speak with Trevor Michael Opalewski, Michigan’s astute personal trainer & handsome model.

By: Joshua Conner

One of my main motivations for featuring Trevor Michael Opalewski, is because: we both were successfully raised in single mother households, both are Aries and we are both fans of fitness legend Greg Plitt. His passion, work ethics, motivational social media presence, and dedication to health and wellness inspires me personally & professionally. Opalewski is a: personal trainer/sports performance/injury prevention at Built by Trev, certified personal trainer/strength coach at Jax Fitness, ambassador at Proteinfactory.com and model for DAS Model Management Miami. With every post Opalewski produces, he inspires the masses with his mantras & incredible physique.

What is a day in the life of Opalewski like?

“A day in the life, first & foremost, you know being a personal trainer, I am always looking to help my clients and my people. I usually start personal training from about 5 am in the morning to about 10 am. I usually have some down time after that, probably about from 10 am to 2 pm. I either get done with some chores, do some research, run errands, and slowly implemented another step into my online training business, that I am working on,” said Opalewski.

“Then, I’ll get a workout in myself, if I am feeling pretty adequate. After 2 pm, usually I go to personal training at about 3 to about 7 or 8. Then after that time, if I haven’t worked out, then I would get it done. Otherwise, I’ll probably prep dinner. Then I’ll have something to eat, do some reading, some research and maybe watch football if it’s on. Other than that, I really don’t try to watch television, or movies too much, because it just sucks the life out of you. Then, I’ll go on social media for a little bit, and usually end up falling asleep anywhere from 11 pm or 1 am,” said Opalewski.

What would be the title of Opalewski life story and who would play him in a movie?

“The title of my life story would be: the fight from within. Who would play me, oh, I mean of course I would love to have Morgan Freeman do the voiceover, haha. He’s pretty notorious for that, but who would play me, jeez, that’s a tough one. I am going to have to go with one of my favorites and that Jean-Claude Van Damme,” said Opalewski.

What is Opalewski underwear preference?

“You know, growing up, I was always a boxer kid, just because of the freedom haha. Now, getting into working out and everything, boxers probably wasn’t the best route to go. But, once I noticed boxer briefs, was kind of like a weird thing growing up, hey things kind of stay close-knit in here, you know while you’re working out. So these are a bit nicer, when you just lounge around with nothing to do,” said Opalewski.

“If it wasn’t for the modeling industry, I would have to say boxers,  but I don’t have a favorite brand. Since, opening up into the modeling industry, I would have to go with the briefs. Just outside of that bro, honestly on a regular basis, I like some sort of spandex, but day-to-day, I have to say neither,” said Opalewski.

Opalewski has also modeling Richard Dayhoff underwear.

“Oh, Richard Dayhoff, his product was honestly really nice. If I were to wear briefs or something, that would be it. Like I said, the whole modeling thing, kind of opened me, back up to that realm thankfully. It was nice, comfortable material, it was very form-fitting, which is kinda hard for me, since I have a small waist and bigger lower half, but they fit very well. I definitely recommend them,” said Opalewski.

Opalewski has a great body of work, would he ever consider posing for Bodybuilding.com Bodies of Work similar to Greg Plitt?

“Bodybuilding.com Bodies of work or bodies of art, kind of like the whole ESPN series. Honestly, that’s like one of my goals that I have for myself. I would definitely like to do one of those editorials or shoots with myself, I think it would be really cool. Obviously, out of all the athletes, the one that inspired me the most was Greg Plitt. Just seeing the guy, it’s just phenomenal, what he is able to obtain and do with himself,” said Opalewski.

If Opalewski mantra were a hashtag what would it be?

“I am going to have go with my life’s work #builtbytrev. I think it’s all about the dream, I have made ever since my buddy,  brought me into the fitness world when I was about 15 or 16. Learning from him, he was an avid Arnold Schwarzenegger fan, as I was too, but he was like a fanatic. I mean the guy, literally built a basement when he was 16 years old, his dad was a carpenter, so he was a great craftsman. He built a basement shrine, with: every single movie poster, magazine he was on the cover of, vhs tape, and a couple of action figures, he literally had it all,” said Opalewski.

“So coming from him, and all the bodybuilding magazines, I was involved and kind of engulfing myself in the industry. You know I always wanted to be involved in fitness in some way. You know I always, just tried to find the best ways possible of obtaining the physique I wanted. You know the athletic & performance driven physique that I wanted,” said Opalewski.

“You know it’s the constant giving back to the chalkboard, taking notes on everything, I was doing, trying & relearning. Even when I thought I had it right, my body would tell me, hey you don’t have it all figured out bud, you gotta go back to the drawing board. I think especially over the last 5 or 6 years, I have really I don’t want to say mastered my craft, it’s been always kind of learning and progressing, but I think I definitely got a better handle on it now, then back then,” said Opalewski.

Eric Lamb

I recently had an opportunity to speak to Eric Lamb, Tampa’s businessman & fitness enthusiast.

By: Joshua Conner

I have been a follower of Eric Lamb, ever since I observed one of his Instagram posts. It was of a photo shoot, that he was apart of with CJC Photography accompanied by an introspective quote. Lamb, is a North East Account Manager for Anazaohealth Corporation, and he models for: Alexa Models, Benz Model & Talent Agency and Professional Pretty Model & Talent Agency.

What is a day in the life of Lamb like?

“A day in my life, 6 days a week,  I get up in the morning like 4:30 or 5 am and I go to the gym. I get my workout done, then I come home and fix breakfast. Then during the week, if I’m not traveling for work, out-of-state, then I’m in the office from 6 am to 4:30 pm. I’m in pharmaceutical sales, so I handle a big book of business Monday through Friday. I come home at about 5:00, then I do some sort of cardio, either go for a walk or bike ride, something like that. I try to get outside for a little bit, when I get home. After being cooped up all day, and then I come home, get dinner, kind of unwind and go to bed by 10:00, on a good day. On Sundays, it’s usually my day at the beach, so I can’t complain,” said Lamb.

Lamb’s mantra is take every opportunity that’s presented to you.

“I’ve had some pretty crazy opportunities presented to me that my past self would have never done, or would have put off. As of recently, I took those chances, and they paid off. Just taking every opportunity that’s presented, obviously don’t take it if it’s stupid or illegal or anything like that. If it’s a legit opportunity then take it,  even if it’s outside of your comfort zone. Kind of like modeling, I did a photo shoot with a guy about a year and a half ago or so, he contacted me. It’s something I never would have done in the past. I said why not, it’s kind of paid off now, slowly but surely,” said Lamb.

Lamb says that if he could sign on with any Major League Baseball team, it would be the Atlanta Braves.

“So MLB, was my dream, like it was my passion growing up. My favorite team growing up was the Atlanta Braves, so I would have to go with them. Although, I am personal to the Mets now, a little bit. One of my good friends that I grew up with, and played with, he plays for the Mets now, so I am personal to them. I still have to choose the Braves, that’s my team through and through,” said Lamb.

What does Lamb prefer boxers, briefs or boxer briefs and what are his favorite brand?

“Let’s see, recently, I have switched to briefs, if I am being honest. I have big thighs and I don’t like you can see the boxer briefs line on my thighs, cause my pants are too tight. Which is not a bad thing, I guess, but I have recently switched to briefs, which I never thought I do, but I actually like them. The company I use is called pair of thieves,” said Lamb on his preference.

Lamb said that if he could model for any national brand it would be Under Armour.

“Oh man, let’s see, there’s a lot out there, it would have to be something athletic because of my build. I use to want to be a Calvin Klein model or Abercrombie model, but I don’t think that suits me so much anymore, I’m to big for that now. I think some modeling for say Under Armour, that would be pretty awesome. Yeah I’d say Under Armour,” said Lamb.

Lamb says that Jesse Palmer would play him in a movie and the title of his life story would be, “take a chance”.
