Joel Freeman

I recently had an opportunity to speak with one of Beachbody’s handsome and prolific super trainers Joel Freeman.

By: Joshua Conner

Joel Freeman is a Beachbody super trainer, creator of Liift 4, co-creator of Core de Force, Big Brother Mentor for Big Brothers and Big Sisters LA, and Brand Ambassador for Dude Wipes based in Los Angeles, California. Freeman inspires me personally and professionally. Professionally, I am inspired by Freeman’s work ethic. Personally, I am inspired by his physique, how he gives back and how he is the brand ambassador for one of my favorite products Dude Wipes.

What would be the title of Freeman’s life story and who would play him in a movie?

“The title of my life story would be, a real fitness guy, and who would play me, gosh, let’s just say Chris Evans, because he’s Captain America,” said Freeman.

What was Freeman’s most memorable year?

“My most memorable year, man, to put it into one year is challenging. I think the most memorable year, would be the year,  that we launched Core De Force and I got married all in the same year,” said Freeman.

If Freeman’s mantra was a hashtag, it would be, #reallifefitness.

“It’s that because everything that I do, and I talk about in the realm of Beachbody and everything that I work on, is always reality-based. It’s based around real life, and that’s the focus and flow, that I want people to focus on as well,” said Freeman.

What are Freeman’s underwear preferences?

“Let’s see boxer briefs, except boxers to sleep in. You know, I’m not tied to a brand. I change it up, every year, to try new things, if they’re comfy, I wear them,” said Freeman.

What does it like being a brand ambassador for Dude Wipes?

“What’s it like, you know, it’s been fun. The reason that I decided to be a brand ambassador for them, as I had a lot of great conversations with the CEO and the founders. They all do Beachbody workouts, they do my workouts and they are just very realistic in what they do, and how they talk and that’s how I am. So, it’s something from a cleanliness standpoint, especially guys, we can all talk about a little bit more. Some people see it as taboo, and I just don’t really care. It’s been fun, different and challenging at times. Every month, I try to present the products from a unique standpoint, but also make sense of my brand,” said Freeman.

Freeman’s favorite Dude Wipe products are the original and shower wipes.

“My favorite one is the original one, just straight Dude Wipes, but I have really grown to love their shower wipes because they’re basically encouraging showers after a workout or something. So if after a workout or something and you can’t go straight to a shower, the wipes are awesome,” said Freeman.

If Freeman could have a conversation with anyone died or alive, it would be with someone from the ancient Roman times.

“That’s a good question, who died or alive. I think if it was somebody died, I would have to go back to ancient Roman times and talk to some of the guys who were ahead of their time. Whether it be like Archimedes or anyone in terms of inventors. I would ask them, what their mentality was at the time, to see how and why they were able to be far ahead of everyone else. I have always been fascinated with that world and how they were able to create things, that seemed to be outside of their technology. Yet, we have become very dependent on our technology. They were able to do things, from a very simplistic standpoint, and create stuff, that obviously withstood the test of time,” said Freeman.

Mohamed Elzomor

I recently had an opportunity to speak with Mohamed Elzomor, renowned personal trainer & hunky M By Michael Strahan brand ambassador.

By: Joshua Conner

Mohamed Elzomor is a celebrity trainer and manifestation coach and the EMS (Electronic Muscle Stimulation) Specialist for My 30 Minutes EMS Training, based in New York, New York. Elzomor has been featured in: People, The ListNYPost, CBS & Viceland to name a few. Elzomor inspires me professionally and personally. Professionally, I am inspired by his: work ethic, prominent clientele & how he inspires the masses to live the fit life. Personally, I am inspired by his:  passion for family, great physique, humbleness & how he is the brand ambassador for one of my favorite clothing brands, that I myself wear faithfully M By Michael Strahan.

What is a day in the life of Elzomor like?

“I wake up, like real early at 4:30 in the morning. I take like a 30-45 minute long shower. That’s like my alone time. That’s where I get very specific with my goals for the day. That’s where I go do my gratitude list, that’s I feel happy for the things I already have. I am talking about basic things like the fact, that I have: my eyesight, both my arms and I can walk. We take all those things for granted, but you take one of those things away & that changes everything. So, I try to remember that as often as possible. Then, the 45 minutes that I have for myself, is the best time to do it. When you are not distracted, being emailed, texted, and people are talking to you or you’re focused on your job. That is probably the best part of my day,” said Elzomor.

Elzomor, then is out of the house and off to train his diverse clientele of billionaires, celebrities and princesses.

“I train billionaires, celebrities, and like princesses on a regular basis, which has been my dream for a very long time. I am very grateful, that they are there. I have extremely interesting people that I train, and that I hang out with on a regular basis. So my day is always full of surprises. You never know who you are going to meet, what kind of stories you’re going to hear or what kind of opportunities are going to come up. So that’s what my day looks like,” said Elzomor.

Elzomor is all over Manhattan from 6 am to about 7 pm, strategically trying to get in lunch breaks.

“I’m literally all over Manhattan, from like 6 am to 7 pm. Then, I come home. I’m lucky, if I get a break to eat, I eat while I’m walking, or in a subway or uber. Then, I come home and spend time with my wife Julia and my daughter Leia. That’s like the best part of my day, by far, spending time with my family,” said Elzomor.

“I also don’t feel like, I work necessarily. I love it, I get to hang out, with really cool people, who happen to be extremely powerful at the same time. It’s kind of surreal when you think about it. A lot of people would pay to be able to hang out with people for an hour with a billionaire and ask them as many questions as they want. I get that and I get paid for it. I always try to look at my situation from a positive perspective. It’s become very nonchalant because I kind of walk to work and I train like 4 Victoria Secret supermodels in a row, it’s true.
They are just normal human beings, who are extremely inspirational because they all started somewhere. They had goals, and went ahead and accomplished them. I try to take from that as often as I can. Cause usually if I can do it, anyone can do it,” said Elzomor.

What would be the title of Elzomor life story and who would play him in a movie?

“I would say something along the lines of dream, believe, achieve.  That would be the name of my story, that would be the name of my movie. I would want someone to go, sit down, and watch the movie and understand that the whole moral of the story is that you can accomplish whatever you want to accomplish in life. If I had to pick someone to play me, I would say Zac Efron. I really like him, I want to train him, and we have mutual friends that say we kind of resemble each other. I think that is an awesome compliment, I’m not really sure if I see the correlation there, but I would love for Zac Efron to play me in a movie, that would be awesome,” said Elzomor.

What was Elzomor most memorable year?

“You know what, whenever a new year starts, I always say this is going to be my best year yet. Thankfully, it’s been that way. By far, it would have been when my daughter Leia was born. That moment hearing your daughter cry for the first time, that’s surreal. That’s a paradigm shift. You don’t understand what that feels like until you feel it.
From there on, it’s kind of a new fire under my ass. I just want to go ahead and accomplish goals, ten times bigger than the ones I set prior. So, the year when my daughter was born, I just went BEAST mode. I started to get featured in Vogue and People magazine and GMA, it all actually happened all around the time my daughter was born.
Religions say, that there’s a blessing that comes from your first child. Logically speaking, there’s a motivation that come from your first child, so there’s an overlap there for sure. It’s been an incredible ride so far. This year has been an incredible year as well, but I think last year was like an important part of my life. Where I can look back 10-15 years from now, and know that 2017 was the beginning of something great,” said Elzomor.

What is Elzomor underwear preference?

“Okay, so boxer briefs/boxers. I can’t remember the last time I wore briefs, probably like Elementary School. My favorite brand, by far is MSX also known as M By Michael Strahan. I am the brand ambassador for his company, so I wear his underwear, his sweatpants and I have closets full of stuff that I wear from M By Michael Strahan. People literally stop and go like wow, what is that, and what are you wearing.
Then I tell them, they have no idea, that Michael Strahan even has a clothing brand. It’s been around for like a year or two.
I love his boxers and I’m not just saying it because I’m the brand ambassador,  his boxer briefs are incredible.  You got celebrities hitting him up and asking him for underwear, it’s that amazing.
During the summer, I had a couple of his boxer briefs on & literally during the day, it felt like air conditioning was on my butt. I was like wow. I thought was leaning on a vent or something like that, but no, that’s just some crazy technology with these boxer briefs. They literally cool your down, when it’s 90 degrees outside. So yes, I highly recommend it. If anyone reading this article and they might want some boxer briefs, go to M By Michael Strahan please, they are good,” said Elzomor.

What is Elzomor favorite M By Michael Strahan product?

“I love his sweatpants. I also have his sleeveless hoodie, I have like 8 different versions of it. I love his sweatpants, he’s got incredible designs, they fit really well, they have this cool zipper, so stuff isn’t falling out of my pocket. By far, all of his products are great, but these are my favorite,” said Elzomor.

If Elzomor could travel anywhere with anyone died or alive, who would they be and where would they travel to?

“Am I allowed to say space or other planets. Then, absolutely, I’ll leave this planet first. I am all about finding out secrets that the world has to offer. I think there is way more to life than what we are being told and taught to say in school. The planets, other dimensions, para universes. I think it is more complicated and complex than we are taught to believe.
I think it’s not that simple that you are born, work 9 to 5 your whole life, you barely scrap and then you die, there’s more to it. If I could meet someone who could answer those questions, it would be great.
If I could find a magical or prophetic figure or an astronaut. I would want to travel with an astronaut who has already been to space who knows what is going on. That’s what I would love, I would want to go with an astronaut, and go to some planet, that we already have access to, but no one knows yet and just get the whole scoop on where we have been and where are we going next,” said Elzomor.

Marty Riva

I recently had an opportunity to speak with Marty Riva, Chicago’s charming realtor & hunky model.

By: Joshua Conner

Marty Riva, Chicago Real Estate Broker with @Properties & model for DAS Model Management Miami, inspires me both personally & professionally. I really found him relatable because we were both born in Illinois & our mothers played a pivotal role in our lives. I am so inspired by how Riva, has diversified his real estate & modeling brands both tangibly & through social media. I really admire his composure, work ethic & style.

What is a day in the life of Riva like?

“I’ll usually wake up, and I’ll check my emails. If I have any showings to do for real estate,  I’ll do some real estate showings. Other than that, I’ll typically work out, late morning or early afternoon. I’ll usually work out 2 to 3 hours, depending on if I play basketball or not. I really love playing basketball, so I try to play it as much as I can for the cardio. Then at night, I’m either: doing a second job, where I work at D.S. Tequila Company, doing serving, or I will be spending some time with my girlfriend, watching a movie, or having some dinner,” said Riva.

What would be the title of Riva’s life story & who would play him in a movie?

“Oh, so I get told that I look like Jon Hamm a lot, so I imagine Jon Hamm would play me in a movie. The title would be The Calm Life of Marty Riva,” said Riva.

If Riva’s mantra were hashtag, what would it be?

“#Staycalm, just because that really embodies the person I am.  I don’t really get nervous or scared, at least I don’t show it. Everyone just kind of looks at me, like I am cool, calm & collected twenty-four seven, even though on the inside, I may not be,” says Riva.

What is Riva’s underwear preference and what is his favorite brand?

“So, this is interesting because I recently made a change. I was only wearing boxers for as long as I can remember. After I got into modeling I learned that boxer briefs were a lot easier to change in & out of for photo shoots. So, I made a switch to boxer briefs & my favorite brand is definitely Calvin Klein,” said Riva.

Riva has also modeled Richard Dayhoff underwear.

“Modeling Richard Dayhoff underwear, was really nice. They were really comfortable, honestly no complaints about it. Having that name and being able to be on his Instagram, I really felt honored to be presented in that way,” said Riva.

Riva says he would like to be a wide receiver for the Minnesota Vikings if he were drafted into any National Football League team.

How would Riva describe his real estate business?

“I would say that I am dedicated to the people I am working for. I would do anything to get them the place they want and at the price they want. I am pretty much there go to person, whenever they have a question about anything real estate related. If I don’t have an answer, I’ll do my best to find that answer for them or direct them to the person, that can give them that answer. I always try to be honest with the people I with, I believe that’s the best policy. I treat them the way I want to be treated, kind of like the golden rule. That kind of goes along with how I live my life,” said Riva.

Trevor Michael Opalewski

I recently had an opportunity to speak with Trevor Michael Opalewski, Michigan’s astute personal trainer & handsome model.

By: Joshua Conner

One of my main motivations for featuring Trevor Michael Opalewski, is because: we both were successfully raised in single mother households, both are Aries and we are both fans of fitness legend Greg Plitt. His passion, work ethics, motivational social media presence, and dedication to health and wellness inspires me personally & professionally. Opalewski is a: personal trainer/sports performance/injury prevention at Built by Trev, certified personal trainer/strength coach at Jax Fitness, ambassador at Proteinfactory.com and model for DAS Model Management Miami. With every post Opalewski produces, he inspires the masses with his mantras & incredible physique.

What is a day in the life of Opalewski like?

“A day in the life, first & foremost, you know being a personal trainer, I am always looking to help my clients and my people. I usually start personal training from about 5 am in the morning to about 10 am. I usually have some down time after that, probably about from 10 am to 2 pm. I either get done with some chores, do some research, run errands, and slowly implemented another step into my online training business, that I am working on,” said Opalewski.

“Then, I’ll get a workout in myself, if I am feeling pretty adequate. After 2 pm, usually I go to personal training at about 3 to about 7 or 8. Then after that time, if I haven’t worked out, then I would get it done. Otherwise, I’ll probably prep dinner. Then I’ll have something to eat, do some reading, some research and maybe watch football if it’s on. Other than that, I really don’t try to watch television, or movies too much, because it just sucks the life out of you. Then, I’ll go on social media for a little bit, and usually end up falling asleep anywhere from 11 pm or 1 am,” said Opalewski.

What would be the title of Opalewski life story and who would play him in a movie?

“The title of my life story would be: the fight from within. Who would play me, oh, I mean of course I would love to have Morgan Freeman do the voiceover, haha. He’s pretty notorious for that, but who would play me, jeez, that’s a tough one. I am going to have to go with one of my favorites and that Jean-Claude Van Damme,” said Opalewski.

What is Opalewski underwear preference?

“You know, growing up, I was always a boxer kid, just because of the freedom haha. Now, getting into working out and everything, boxers probably wasn’t the best route to go. But, once I noticed boxer briefs, was kind of like a weird thing growing up, hey things kind of stay close-knit in here, you know while you’re working out. So these are a bit nicer, when you just lounge around with nothing to do,” said Opalewski.

“If it wasn’t for the modeling industry, I would have to say boxers,  but I don’t have a favorite brand. Since, opening up into the modeling industry, I would have to go with the briefs. Just outside of that bro, honestly on a regular basis, I like some sort of spandex, but day-to-day, I have to say neither,” said Opalewski.

Opalewski has also modeling Richard Dayhoff underwear.

“Oh, Richard Dayhoff, his product was honestly really nice. If I were to wear briefs or something, that would be it. Like I said, the whole modeling thing, kind of opened me, back up to that realm thankfully. It was nice, comfortable material, it was very form-fitting, which is kinda hard for me, since I have a small waist and bigger lower half, but they fit very well. I definitely recommend them,” said Opalewski.

Opalewski has a great body of work, would he ever consider posing for Bodybuilding.com Bodies of Work similar to Greg Plitt?

“Bodybuilding.com Bodies of work or bodies of art, kind of like the whole ESPN series. Honestly, that’s like one of my goals that I have for myself. I would definitely like to do one of those editorials or shoots with myself, I think it would be really cool. Obviously, out of all the athletes, the one that inspired me the most was Greg Plitt. Just seeing the guy, it’s just phenomenal, what he is able to obtain and do with himself,” said Opalewski.

If Opalewski mantra were a hashtag what would it be?

“I am going to have go with my life’s work #builtbytrev. I think it’s all about the dream, I have made ever since my buddy,  brought me into the fitness world when I was about 15 or 16. Learning from him, he was an avid Arnold Schwarzenegger fan, as I was too, but he was like a fanatic. I mean the guy, literally built a basement when he was 16 years old, his dad was a carpenter, so he was a great craftsman. He built a basement shrine, with: every single movie poster, magazine he was on the cover of, vhs tape, and a couple of action figures, he literally had it all,” said Opalewski.

“So coming from him, and all the bodybuilding magazines, I was involved and kind of engulfing myself in the industry. You know I always wanted to be involved in fitness in some way. You know I always, just tried to find the best ways possible of obtaining the physique I wanted. You know the athletic & performance driven physique that I wanted,” said Opalewski.

“You know it’s the constant giving back to the chalkboard, taking notes on everything, I was doing, trying & relearning. Even when I thought I had it right, my body would tell me, hey you don’t have it all figured out bud, you gotta go back to the drawing board. I think especially over the last 5 or 6 years, I have really I don’t want to say mastered my craft, it’s been always kind of learning and progressing, but I think I definitely got a better handle on it now, then back then,” said Opalewski.
