Jayson Glick

I recently had an opportunity to speak with charismatic and handsome artist Jayson Glick.

By: Joshua Conner

Jayson Glick is an actor and model based in Los, Angeles, California. Glick is represented by Tilmar Talent Agency in Los Angeles, California, Look Model Agency in San Francisco and Envy Models in Las Vegas, Nevada, under Altamero Management. Glick inspires me, because of his great physique, sophisticated style, delicious food posts, and he was also a father’s day meme for the M By Michael Strahan page, which was loved over a hundred times.

What is Glick’s mission in the world?

“Well, you know, I try to keep what I do in perspective as far as acting and modeling, but you know, I’m all about spreading positivity into the world. I want to have an impact on people in a positive way. I try to be that way every day with people I meet or you know just spread some sort of positive message. You know everyone is going through something, so if I could just provide like a moment or two of happiness for people or make them have a little more faith in humanity, that makes me happy, honestly,” said Glick.

If Glick’s mantra was a hashtag, it would be #positivevibes.

“If my mantra was a hashtag, you know it would be #positivevibes. I talk about that every day when I have conversations with people. It works, when you put positive vibes out in the world and it comes back to you. It’s worked for me, my whole life, believe me, I go through things like everybody else and I have my moments. I am just a huge believer in spreading positive vibes, and you know, it works. That would be my mantra,” said Glick.

What is the story behind Glick’s first tattoo?

“So my first tattoo was the Chinese symbol for love. I have always believed that the world needs more love, and I am just a very loving person. I like to spread that message,” said Glick.

If Glick could remake any television show, it would be Family Ties.

“You know, what comes to mind is Family Ties, I am kind of dating myself here. I like it was a family, and they spent quality time together and they were happy. It kind of goes back to a simpler time, I guess, and I love that. I love to see families like that, you know happy, enjoying each other and helping each other with their problems,” said Glick.

What are Glick’s underwear preferences?

“Boxer briefs and my favorite brand right now, it’s pretty basic, but I like Adidas,” said Glick.

What was Glick’s most memorable year?

“I would say last year, I had just a really busy year with work stuff, and some personal things,” said Glick.

What does Glick enjoy most about being an actor and model?

“I guess what I enjoy most about being an actor and model is you never know what is going to pop up, or what opportunity or who you are going to meet. It would be very hard for me to have a 9 to 5 job, where it’s kind of routine and schedule. I like the unpredictability of what I do,” said Glick.

What would be the title of Glick’s life story?

“Wow, the title of my life story, you know the first thought that comes to mind would be something like Peaks and Valleys, haha,” said Glick.

If Glick could have a conversation with anyone died or alive, who would it be and why?

“Wow, man, so many names come to mind. You know, I’m such a sports guy, I probably would go with Michael Jordan, I would love to have a conversation with him,” said Glick.

Derek Newborn

I recently had an opportunity to speak with the good looking and brawny personal trainer Derek Newborn.

By: Joshua Conner

Derek Newborn is a certified personal trainer and model with Cr2 Talent_Miami, based in Fort Myers, Florida. Newborn was named “South Florida’s Top Personal Trainer by FitNation magazine and Newborn, “helps the common gym-goers take their bodies and their minds to the next level.” I am inspired by Newborn’s great physique, his prolific content creation, style, and handsome bald head.

What was Newborn’s most memorable year?

“My most memorable year was 2001 when my son was born. I had to figure out things really fast, at the age of 16, so it was a lot of memories in one year,” said Newborn.

If Newborn could leave his son one quality it would be the quality of kindness.

“One quality, it would be a quality of kindness because kindness always prevails, and kindness always wins, in the end, no matter what,” said Newborn.

What is the story behind Newborn’s first tattoo?

“My very first tattoo is my initials and my son’s initials that I got when I was 17, during my senior trip to the Bahamas. I got it at a really shady tattoo parlor. I was not sober when I got it, but it’s still there, but it’s cool,” said Newborn.

What are Newborn’s underwear preferences?

“I wear boxer briefs, and my favorite brand is probably Calvin Klein because they are comfortable and they fit good, haha,” said Newborn.

If Newborn could produce a TedTalk on any topic, it would be about mental health.

“I would do a Ted Talk on mental health because I think it’s overlooked and people are embarrassed and uncomfortable to talk about it. I would talk about mental health, how prevalent it is and how common it is, but no one really talks about it,” said Newborn.

If Newborn could have a conversation with anyone died or alive, it would be with Paulo Coelho.

“They can be dead or alive, I would want to talk to Paulo Coelho, author of The Alchemist. He wrote a thought, that was one of the biggest factors of my life, as far as getting through many of life’s ups and downs. So I would have a conversation with him. That would be a once in a lifetime opportunity to tell him how much his book changed my life,” said Newborn.

What is Newborn’s life mission?

“My mission in the world is to help others including myself to reach their full potential, whatever that looks like for an individual. So I try to kind of shine some kind of light, so they know how to reach their full potential and believe in themselves,” said Newborn.

What would be the title of Newborn’s life story and who would play him in a movie?

“The title of my life story would probably be called Living. I’ve lived a lot, for the number of years that I have been here. People are surprised at how many life experiences I have had in such a short amount of time. I would like to say The Rock would play me,” said Newborn.

Extra content: I asked Derek Newborn if his mantra was a hashtag, what would it be and why? You can follow me on Facebook and Instagram @mrjoshuaconner to find out.

Francisco “Cisco” Perez

I recently had an opportunity to speak with handsome fitness personality Francisco “Cisco” Perez.

By: Joshua Conner

Francisco “Cisco” Perez, is a business owner of CPro_Nutrition, actor, model, talent, AFPA Certified Health, and Wellness coach, WBFF Pro, and dancer for the Rock Hard Male Revue, based in Orlando, Florida. I am inspired by Perez’s “Influence to Motivate”, his amazing physique and how he is truly a jack of all trades.

What is Perez’s mission in the world?

“My mission is to live a healthy life, and a successful one. It’s pretty successful now, but there is always room for improvement. I just want to be happy, loving myself, whoever I decide to be with in the future, and loving my son, of course, he is number one,” said Perez.

What is one quality would Perez like to leave his son?

“The one quality that I would like to leave my son would be hard work. I don’t want him to be lazy, I’m not lazy, I don’t sit on my butt. I don’t ask for things, I go out and get it. If I can’t afford it, I don’t buy it. If I want it, I work for it and pay for it in cash. That’s one of the things that I want him to have,” said Perez.

Perez’s favorite inspirational quote is from Mahatma Gandhi, “Strength does not come from physical capacity. It comes from an indomitable will.”

What does Perez enjoy most about being a jack of all trades?

“I don’t know, it just kind of happened, that way. I tried going the route were the regular habit of life. You know, you have to go to school, get an education, and you have to stick with one job. I tried that, and it wasn’t for me. One thing after another just kept on happening for me. When opportunities arose, I took them, and that’s pretty much how I became a jack of all trades. It keeps me active, it keeps me going, it keeps me motivated and I enjoy it. I don’t answer to anybody, I have my own business. I have my brand, that I am trying to make as successful as can be,” said Perez.

Perez most memorable year was 2017 because he had an opportunity to be apart of Men of the Strip.

“My most memorable year would probably be, I would say 2 years ago. What are we in 2019, so 2017. I was out in Vegas, and I was part of a show out there called Men of the Strip. Even though it was a short period, it was exciting and quite an adventure. I was able to see myself on the billboards across Vegas, and the valley out there, it was nice to see. It was quite an accomplishment, I would think,” said Perez.

What would be the title of Perez’s life story?

“That’s a good one, I would say Magic Mike XXXL,” said Perez.

Michael Buckley

I recently had an opportunity to speak with the handsome, passionate and charismatic personal trainer Michael Buckley.

By: Joshua Conner

Michael Buckley is a NASM Certified Personal Trainer who manages both online and in-person personal training programs and a writer, based in New York, New York. Buckley has appeared in ebr, BMWFitnessWorld.com, and the Bodcast. I first became a fan of Buckley, from when he appeared as Harley in the Cyberchase For Real segments of Cyberchase. I am inspired by Buckley both personally and professionally. Personally, I am inspired by his amazing physique, brilliant writing and how creates a dialogue on mental health. Professionally, I am inspired by how Buckley has diversified his brand.

What would be the title of Buckley’s life story and who would play him in a movie?

“The title of my life story, that’s a good one, I guess a work in progress would be the title. I guess the person playing me would be either Bradley Cooper or Chris Evans,” said Buckley.

2018, 2012 and 2011, were pivotal years for Buckley.

“My most memorable year, 2018, was pretty big, I made some big changes in my business. I’m actually launching a new company, and I have a business partner, so that’s pretty big. I moved into a new apartment, I started my new business online, and I also started doing corporate wellness gigs. Professionally, as far as it pertains to what I’m doing right now, 2018 was pretty big.
I guess maybe 2012 when I started my personal training business.  That was a really big year. I guess I have a follow-up. These were the years a lot of positive changes took place. I had the year 2011, where I worked a traditional job. I worked for somebody else, and I had to go to an office. I ended up not really enjoying that kind of work. That was an important lesson to learn.
I was also fired during 2011, at the end of the year. It actually ended up being one of the best things that ever happened to me, in terms of getting a wake-up call. I came to a realization that there are so many things that we can control and so many things that are out of our control. I thought I was supposed to do a job because that’s what you do get a job. I tended to give up on or at least diminished a lot of things that I wanted to accomplish in my own life. I realized that there is no set way to make a living.
I tried playing the game, that most people play, you know, get a job, you have a steady income. There is that illusion of stability. What I learned is that stability is kind of an illusion, and that just a more traditional job, there is no stability and everything is uncertain to a certain extent. You might as well, pursue things that you are actually interested and passionate about,” said Buckley.

What is Buckley’s underwear preferences?

“Well, definitely boxer briefs, because I work out a lot, so I need something that covers my thighs. I need the boxer briefs, to hold my boys in place, while I’m going down at the gym. For the brand, it’s actually not a fancy one at all, but I actually like the Champion brand, athletic underwear. They fit me, they’re comfortable and they are not to tight. They also are sweat-absorbent,” said Buckley.

How did Buckley come up with the hashtags, #FitAsABuck, #BuckYourself, and #getbucked?

“Well, it is one of those things that when I was a kid, it was very easy for the other kids to find a not so clever name to make fun of me. So the potential for puns was something that was pointed out to me, very early in life. I kind of went from that, from there,” said Buckley.

What is Buckley’s opinion on how mental health is treated in this country?

“My mom has bipolar disorder, she was diagnosed when I was in high school. She was misdiagnosed as clinically depressed, which means her medications were kind of off, for a good part of my childhood. My mom was a teacher, and as a teacher, she had a really good health insurance plan. She actually had great drug coverage, to cover the cost of her medication. She was so afraid of the stigma attached to mental illness, she actually paid out of pocket,  to fill all of her prescriptions. She was so afraid of being discovered,  and people would say that I don’t want this crazy person teaching my kids or whatever stigma there was around that.
She ended up running into a rough period and ended up giving up her teaching career. She started working with the stigma initiative. She then advocated for stigma-free laws in New Jersey and surrounding areas. It was legislation to protect people, their employer can’t hold it against them, if they come forward, as having a mental health issue.
So, I think a large part of mental health is linked to the spirit. I think we need to remove the stigma from it because I think there are a lot of people that probably end up deeper in the hole, that they need to be. They are afraid of coming out and speaking openly about the mental health issue. We all need to take care of our mental health, I think it’s something that is often overlooked.
That’s actually part of what I am doing in the fitness space.  There is a physical consideration, everyone needs to exercise. Your body needs it in order to function, at it’s best. I check the boxes, for the physical part, but there is also a mental health component to having a healthy life.
I’ve had my own struggles with anxiety. I’m a very pleasant person, but I’ve had my struggles with anxiety and depression. I’m not afraid to say it, I think it’s something that’s really important we need to speak more openly about. That will allow people that God bless them, don’t have to share in that struggle, to maybe understand a little bit more, and have a little more empathy. I do think we need to enact legislation to protect people so that they don’t hesitate coming forward if they have mental health issues.

Justin Schaible

I recently had an opportunity to speak with handsome fitness model with Marky Mark swagger Justin Schaible.

By: Joshua Conner

Justin Schaible is health partners operations specialist III at Fresenius Medical Care North America, from Winnebago, Minnesota, and based in Austin, Texas. Schaible inspires me professionally and personally. Professionally, I am inspired by how Schaible reinvented himself, depending on his location. Personally, I am inspired by his physique and his Mark Wahlberg style.

What would be the title of Schaible’s life story and who would play him in a movie?

“I don’t know my life story, kind of goes all over the place. I’ve moved, I have worked several different jobs and careers. I have a tattoo, that kind of explains how I put all my trust in God, and follow the path that he has created, or outlined for me. That’s really important. The title of my life story, I don’t know just never give up really. That should be the story of everyone’s life. Never give up, I think that’s part of a good life,” said Schaible about his life story.

“My God, like what current actor would play me in a movie? I mean, I have always looked up to Mark Wahlberg, as far as actors so. I guess I would shoot for him. He looks good, he’s a great actor, and he looks like a genuine person,” said Schaible about who would play him.

Schaible also can rock a pair of Calvin Klein boxer briefs similar to Mark Wahlberg, which are his underwear preference.

2014, was Schaible’s most memorable year because it was the year that his mother beat cancer.

“Memorable year, these are the questions you really have to think about, well done. Maybe 2015 or 2014, I was living in Florida and I moved back to Minnesota, to take a position and another reason, I moved back to Minnesota was my mom was dealing with breast cancer. I wanted to be back closer to her when she was dealing with therapy. She came out on top of it, and beat it so, 2014,” said Schaible.

What does Schaible enjoy most about working for Fresenius medical care?

“I get to hear patients and their perspective on life. Some take it very positively.  For Fresenius, I work with dialysis patients, and they need dialysis in order to live their life. So, many people accept what they have to go through because it’s not going to help prolong their life. Eventually, some can get a kidney transplant and what not. Just, having their perspective on life, I guess gives me the chills sometimes, when I speak with someone.

I guess others don’t take it as well, but from the ones that do take it very positively, and have their faith, and trust that everything is going to work out. Many of them have amazing stories and have dealt with a lot. I mean dialysis, usually involves other issues as well, like high blood pressure, diabetes, all of that stuff can come with it. It usually starts it all. So, they deal with a lot of different things, just hearing their perspective on life, still seems to amaze me, on how they can still stay so positive,” said Schaible.

If Schaible were drafted to any national baseball team, it would be the Minnesota Twins.

“It would be my home team the Minnesota Twins, I’m a diehard fan. I would play, I guess towards the end of my career, I played center field, so I would take the center field position. I love the adrenaline rush,” said Schaible.

If Schaible could model for any brand it would be Nike.

“Well, Nike was always number one, Nike or GQ. I guess I would say, Nike, because I love my Nike gear, it’s my favorite workout gear. Because the only workout brand I ever purchased. I like it because it lasts a long time, it’s durable, it’s comfortable, looks good, and the name brand recognition. Michael Jordan was apart of it, and I love Michael Jordan, I loved watching him play so. Nike was just one of those ones, that I considered would be really awesome to model,” said Schaible.

In extra content, I asked Justin Schaible if he could have a conversation with anyone dead or alive, who would it be and why? Follow me on Facebook and Instagram @mrjoshuaconner to see what he says.

Élan Sorrell

I recently had an opportunity to speak with the handsome model and actor Élan Sorrell.

By: Joshua Conner

Élan Sorrell is a model, actor, and instructor at Flywheel Sports based in Los Angeles, California. Sorrell inspires me personally and professionally. Professionally, I am inspired by how Sorrell has successfully diversified his brand. Personally, I am inspired by Sorrell’s style, physique, and passion for his craft.

What would be the title of Sorrell’s life story and who would play him in a movie?

“Well, I’m an actor, so honestly I like nobody but myself to play me. The title of my story would be just a kid on his quest for greatness,” said Sorrell.

Sorrell’s most memorable year was 2013.

“Memorable year, probably 2013. I would say that’s the year, I decided to stop pursuing things that other people wanted me to do, and start pursuing what I was passionate about,” said Sorrell.

Sorell enjoys the freedom that comes from being an actor.

“What I like most, the freedom. The freedom to create, and be whatever I want to be depending on the character that I am playing. To bring my own emotions, ideas, and past experiences into that role. To be able to bring truth to something that is fiction,” said Sorrell.

Sorrell is also a flywheel sports instructor.

“My job is essentially to take a client and give them an opportunity to participate in an energized somewhat personal training structured class. So, I teach clients, high-intensity interval training, so the basis of that is strength, endurance, power, balance, stability and just overall core endurance,” said Sorrell.

“I’ve been rolling with Jockey for quite some time, I guess boxer briefs,” said Sorrell on his underwear preference.

One of Sorrell’s most favorite modeling gigs was doing an interactive experience for San Diego Comic Con, WestWorld Live Experience back in 2017.

If Sorrell could host a Ted Talk on any topic, it would be on fear.

“It would be on fear, and how clipping it can be and motivating it can be. Fear is something that everybody no matter what your background or upbringing encounters at some point of their life,” said Sorrell.

If Sorell could have a conversation with anyone died or alive, it would be Albert Einstein.

“Probably, Albert Einstein. I am really curious to know whether he realized the impact of his theories, philosophies and just his general intelligence when he was still alive. Everybody considers him a genius, one of the greatest minds of any generation, and I still wonder how it was to be in that position and still create so much that he did on a daily basis.

Dr. Louis Santini

I recently had an opportunity to speak with the handsome and athletic Dr. Louis Santini.

By: Joshua Conner

Dr. Louis Santini is a dentist, from Iron Mountain, Michigan, and currently living in Chicago, Illinois. Dr. Santini inspires me personally and professionally. Professionally, I am inspired by how Dr. Santini reinvented himself. Personally, I am inspired by Dr. Santini’s passion for cooking, how he is a marathon runner, style, physique and the brand ambassador for one of my favorite men’s underwear lines Richard Dayhoff.

What would be the title of Dr. Santini’s life story and who would play him in a movie?

“Let’s see, I’m going to go with Take it easy, kind of like the song by The Eagles. I would say Bradley Cooper would play me because people have told me that I look like him before,” said Dr. Santini.

If Dr. Santini’s mantra was a hashtag, it would be live with purpose.

“Let’s go with live with purpose. That’s just you know, particular with me because I think life is kind of dull and boring if you don’t have a purpose,” said Dr. Santini.

What was Dr. Santini’s most memorable year?

“My most memorable year, you know it was a couple of them. I would probably say, I’ll give you two options, either moving to Chicago because I come from a really small town in northern Michigan. So, I’m a small town guy and moving to a big city was a pretty big step. I would say getting into dental school, was my other memorable year, that’s another story. I kind of took a break from school and was working in business in Chicago, when I first moved here, and I wasn’t that happy. The dream of getting into dental school seemed unattainable, but you know somehow with persistence, I was able to get that,” said Dr. Santini.

What does Dr. Santini enjoy about being a dentist?

“What do I like about being a dentist, well number one, I like being able to help people. It’s very rewarding, being able to help people. I like to work with my hands and be creative, so dentistry allows me to do that. You know, whether you are getting someone out of pain, or you are making someone’s smile more aesthetic, you know being comfortable smiling again. I like that my hours are pretty much set, where I don’t have to work on weekends or late at night. I mean unless someone calls with an emergency, that’s the benefit of it.

I would say those things, you know, really being able to help people, being able to be creative, having a major impact on someone’s health, sometimes we can catch diseases that the primary care physician can’t catch, like cancer, diabetes, and high blood pressure, that kind of stuff,” said Dr. Santini.

“I would say ethical care, with a passion for excellence,” said Dr. Santini, when asked how he would describe the quality of his care.

What was Dr. Santini’s most memorable marathon to run?

“It would have to be my first one. That was in 2017, that was the one I did with Lawrence Dunning. I had never run a marathon before that, and you know Ryan Chiaverini, his mom passed away from cancer. So he gathered a group of us through Imerman Angels, as a team to run it that year. Unfortunately, Ryan got an injury, so he couldn’t do it. Nate had an injury, he couldn’t do it. So really, it just came down to Lawrence and I, as the last two guys on the team. It was really neat because I played athletics my whole life, but that was a challenge, I respect anyone that has ever run a marathon because it’s really stressful and tough. It was awesome to run with a friend like Lawrence. The whole way through, we cheered each other on, and it was definitely a fun time,” said Dr. Santini.

What is Dr. Santini’s underwear preference?

“Well, I think you know, I’m close friends with Richard Dayhoff, the famous Chicago designer. I wear his trunks, so I’m a big fan of his underwear, it’s what I’m wearing now, kind of like to give him a plug,” said Dr. Santini.

You can follow Dr. Santini on Instagram @louiesantini

Extra content: I asked Dr. Santini if he could throw a dinner party for any three people died or alive, who would it be and what would he serve them? You can follow me on Facebook and Instagram @mrjoshuaconner to find out
